avenue de la Jonction / Verbindingslaan 1, 1060 Saint-Gilles / Sint-Gillis · Brugmann Quarter, SUD / ZUID, Belgium
It was in 1902 that the engineer Edouard Hannon called upon his friend, the architect Jules Brunfaut (1852-1942) to build this hotel, a masterpiece in the Art Nouveau style.
The furniture was designed by Emile Gallé. The frescoes from the stairwell and the smoking room are the work of the Rouennais painter Paul-Emile Baudouin. The remarkable stained-glass windows are made by Evaldre, disciple of Tiffany's.
